Since the beginning of its activities in 2007 Al Marsa Fisheries is deeply involved in sustainable development.
As a reward of all the efforts that have been made to promote sustainability Al Marsa Fisheries has received the prestigious international eco-certification “Friend of the Sea” in 2010, making Al Marsa Fisheries the first company in Oman and in the Middle East to receive the recognition.
In 2011 Al Marsa Fisheries has received the Artisanal Fisheries award for its engagement to source from the Oman selective artisanal small-scale fishery and its outstanding collaboration to the Friend of the Sea project.
